GETTING STARTED
There are approximately 2,400 colleges and universities that offer athletic scholarship or financial aid packages to gifted student-athletes from around the U.S.A. and other countries.
Due to a lack of understanding of the recruiting process and a lack of broad based exposure to college coaches, thousands of qualified athletes are overlooked each and every year.
Which raises the obvious question: WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP YOURSELF OR YOUR STUDENT-ATHLETE BE RECRUITED?
Reality: there are no guarantees that you will be widely recruited regardless of what anyone might promise. But there are tested and proven things that you can do to improve your chances significantly. These include:
Regardless of your current academic record, get to work to improve your grades and your standardized test scores. Being academically eligible is the fundamental prerequisite to being able to participate in intercollegiate athletics as well as qualify for other academic based grants and gifts.
Take care of your body. Stay in shape and work to get stronger, faster and quicker so that your overall fitness continues to get better. Pay attention to diet by eating healthy and avoiding counterproductive substances and activities.
Monitor your social networks. Eliminate images, posts and references that can leave a negative impression with coaches, recruiters and admissions officers.
Make sure to have a high quality sports video of yourself in action. There is a very high probability that a college coach will never see you play in person unless they have had the opportunity to evaluate your performance on video. A good video is a must.
Visit colleges, apply to the ones that are a good fit for you academically and socially. Always provide financial aid information upon request. In many colleges, even athletic scholarships require that financial aid forms be on file.
Work with a reputable student-athlete recruiting service consultant that will distribute your personal, academic and athletic information to a wide range of colleges and universities that might be interested in you. With 2,400 schools looking for student-athletes, there is a lot of opportunity out there. An established professional service can provide you with the kind of exposure that is beyond the reach of almost all families and club or high school coaches.
Once a student-athlete enrolls in an NCAA-member school, NCAA rules prohibit listing his or her name in association with a product or service. However, here is a list of colleges and universities where some of our clients are matriculating:
